I've added a video on using the combination memory levels. Now I suppose you will want to know about mapping.

Mapping? as in Garmin GPS. Just kidding.
Why not? (In your "spare" time).
Seriously, these tutorials will go a long way in "saving" server space, not that this is an issue. But we see many of the types of ???'s from the new inductess that will be answered in this way. Maybe a refresher for some who "plunged" ahead bypassing the basics.
Suggestion, is there a way that included with the downloads of 216 or 260, a link to these videos and some of the basics could be added? Other software downloads do this as a read me, the video tutorials are even better.

Good idea. Is the User's Guide Page sufficiently clear that we can link to that?

Sure, if it were organized more in the order of a lesson plan. It's very easy to jump around that page and miss the important stuff. Maybe simplified as in Lesson 1, Lesson 2, headings etc.
In addition, I've gone back and read some of your "old" (version 3 etc) how-to-do-its which still is mostly true even with the new versions. Not every knows how to find these archives, Even on the Forum, there is much material that gets put in the "back drawer" periodically but still is available and very good to know about. Sometimes it's a little hard to follow a thread because users don't always know how to organize their thoughts and questions by topic.
In the to-be-stressed dept, even tho the 260SP is fantastic, a lot can be said regarding starting with the 216. I know you have said this in the past.
Thanks for all from all,
Ed

Did I hear, "Diet, exercise and walk daily"?   Oh no, it's another one of those weight loss programs!
Seriously, what a fantastic idea  and I'd add my vote to whoever suggested putting links in the setup files to these for any newbees.  As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Suggestion:   Jim, in your 'spare time' you might like to consider doing videos of showing how to "Map" the pistons.  It is one of the most useful features of Miditzer and brings it into line with modern pipe organ use also.
You might also consider doing a separate video showing how to set up a 'reversable'.  I know it's in your notes on Miditzer pistons somewhere and it's easy to set up when you know how but it can also be a little confusing for the newbee.  There can be all sorts of uses for 'reversable' pistons. As some members will be aware, I use a Yamaha EL90 Electone to run Miditzer from and it has 16 pistons available.  Piston #16 on the Yamaha corresponds to Miditzer Accomp piston #1 (on the 216) which I set as a reversable for the trems and as that piston is just left of centre on the Yamaha I can give it a quick whack with the left hand.  It makes me a happy kid

Jim,
I don't understand all the technical gyrations required to produce those video tutorials but let me assure you, they are very effective.
Almost as much to be appreciated as running water!
Continue to the good work and thanks.
Giles.

Actually the video tutorials are fairly easy to produce thanks to a wonderful free software program called Wink from Debug Mode. It is easier for me to do a video tutorial than to do a written tutorial with screenshots. So more to come. Keep the requests coming for topics!

Jim, great tutorials. It helped me with a few questions I was going to ask about mapping and reversables. The animated screen and your instructions are great. Thanks
