Re: Delayed Sound
We need someone to compile a Fluidsynth patch that will use PortAudio to WAS/API or ASIO to solve your problem.

Re: Delayed Sound
ok last attempt lol
just been reading an article about "xp mode" in windows 7
it used to be you had to have hardware virtualization on your computer, microsoft has dropped that requirement it seems ( for pro and ultimate versions of windows 7) so you can run xp within window7 , check it out
http://www.ghacks.net/2011/08/30/how-to ... alization/
its not a hack just an article
fingers crossed ( and everything else lol)
will let you know how I get on
has anyone tried xp mode for miditzer and does it work?

Re: Delayed Sound
another brick wall with delayed sound
windows 7 is running xpmode but miditzer requires 32 bit colors and xp mode is 16 bit, plus screen resolution cannot be changed in windows xp mode

Re: Delayed Sound
Yes Graham, you are right. I first tested Graham Goode's Port Audio patch for FluidSynth in jOrgan on the 4th of May. It is now my first choice to play, and have not had any problems with it. There are performance improvements for both XP and Windows 7 platforms, however it is the Windows 7 platform that benefits the most, both in latency and in tonal clarity.moonskin wrote: Graham Goode has done that for jOrgan

Re: Delayed Sound
Could it be just the natural actions of a simulated pipe organ? If you've played a real pipe organ,
there is a natural delay from the time the notes are pressed and what you hear,.......takes getting used to......it's like being out of sinc a bit......UPDATE---Apr 08, 2012------For reasons unknown to me , both my Miditzers have negligable delay at this time.....as opposed to when I first installed them??? Now I can further enjoy combining the sounds of my electronic console with the "Mid" sounds and experience very little delay....

Re: Delayed Sound
The delay of the computer latency is very much like the delay when playing a real pipe organ. However, the delay wasn't introduced intentionally for that purpose. Delay tends to drive people who learned on electronic organs nuts whether the delay is from real pipes or computers.
