Re: Delayed Sound
Hi everyone
DELAYED SOUND is HISTORY if you install and use Miditzer 216 Alpha V1 version.
It can now work on any laptop or PC if you follow the last post on the thread

Re: Delayed Sound
I use a Casio WK8000 keyboard for the solo & I notice that if the tone is set to "Drawbar Organ mode", latency (delayed sound) is much lower than if the tone is left on the default "Stereo piano". teatv.ltd https://hellodear.in/axis-bank-corporate-login/login

Re: Delayed Sound
Hi oliverthom707. That is an interesting observation. Just to confirm, you have the Casio WK8000 set to not produce sound and only to send MIDI to the Miditzer which is producing the sound through the computer speakers?

Re: Delayed Sound
I had a Casio WK8000 before. In the drawbar Organ mode, there is no "velocity curves" just on and off like a square wave style.
In MIDI controller keyboards it is possible to also turn off "velocity curves" used for piano and set the output to constant volume.
In M-Audio Oxygen, velocity curves selectable are C1-C9 and FIXED volume are F1-F9.
Some delayed sound is due to the sound samples. In ALLMAN's sound font, a lot of samples have silence period before actual sound.
I tried to remove the silent period for my own use. But ALLMAN's sampleset is copyrighted.
John Tay did gave me emailed permission to improve on his sound fonts and distribute to other Miditzer users.

Re: Delayed Sound
I hadn't thought about it but it seems like implementing a velocity sensitive keyboard might result in a delay before the MIDI Note On even is sent. It isn't clear to me like that is a good idea but I can see why someone else might think otherwise. So it is probably a good idea to set your keyboard to a non-velocity sensitive instrument or turn off velocity sensitivity when controlling the Miditzer to eliminate that possible source of delay.
Thank you both for revealing this source of delay.

Re: Delayed Sound
The delayed signal may be played back multiple times, or fed back into the recording, to create the sound of a repeating, decaying echo.Delay is an audio signal processing technique that records an input signal to a storage medium and then plays it back after a period of time. spicemoneylogin.in myfiosgateway

Delay is an audio signal processing technique that records an input signal to a storage medium and then plays it back after a period of time. When the delayed playback is mixed with the live audio, it creates an echo-like effect, whereby the original audio is heard followed by the delayed audio. myfiosgateway.com

Re: Delayed Sound
Thank you for the feedback and congratulations on your success. I can never fathom why installing a Windows operating system needs to be such a labour intensive process.
