Website changes

Post by Jim Henry » Mon Sep 30, 2024 8:05 pm

I will be moving the miditzer.org website, including this Forum, to a new web hosting service. I will also be doing some long overdue updates of the web software. It is likely there will be issues during this time. Please bear with me.

If Miditzer.org disappears, which should only be for a short time if at all, check to see if Miditzer.com is available.

The move of the website will occur sometime between now and 10/24/2024. Miditzer.org should remain available. Miditzer.com will also become available. Either should work after 10/24/2024.

New postings to the Forum will likely be turned off for some portion of the time between now and 10/24/2024.

I am nearing completion of transferring the existing content on the Miditzer website to an up-to-date version of the software that manages the website content at miditzer.com. I anticipate swapping out the old version of the website for the new version soon. There will probably be a brief interruption of the availability of the website when that happens. A lot of the content on the website is out of date. I am transferring most of it as is. In a few cases I decided it was so out of date that I removed it rather than transfer it. If you can't find something that was on the website, ask. I can probably replace it.

The transfer of the Miditzer.com website to up-to-date software is done. There are some pages under "Support" that were out of date and not transferred.

You can go to https://old.miditzer.com to find the website that was replaced.

Miditzer.org redirects to miditzer.com for now. Please update bookmarks because miditzer.org will go away at some point.
